Cravings!

So, I've been lucky. I haven't had any crazy cravings or anything so far. In fact, I mostly have aversions to sweet things. But today I though about how much I love these.
All I'm saying is that it might be a good Christmas present! :)

Why

It isn't often that I can really grasp why I love the gospel, and what it really adds to my life. But every once in a while, I can pick out a clear, specific way that the Church of Jesus Christ has changed my life. Today I had one such moment.

I love the church because we have men who are called of God to testify of Jesus Christ. Although I am very blessed, I have my fair share of small trials, as we all do. When I'm feeling down, or I don't know where to turn, the wise counsel of prophets of God has often helped me know what to do next, or where to turn.

This is what helped me today.

Another reason I love the gospel is one that I come home to every day.

Thanks to the restoration of the true gospel and the plan of salvation, I get to be with my best friend forever. I can't think of a greater blessing!

Our New Baby!

Ha ha ha, it isn't a real baby, or even a baby grand, but Chris and I are excited to finally have a piano! We play it all the time and Chris sounds pretty good. So if you are looking for a piano to play, come on over! Thanks to everyone who helped us move it in and back up the suburban.

San Francisco!

Jeff and Caroline invited us to go to San Francisco with them. The 12 hour drive was a lot of fun. They even let me drive for a little bit while they napped in the back.

When we got to Half Moon Bay and the next day was gorgeous! We spent some of it walking on the beach.

Caroline and Jeff brought their stunt kite. It was my first time flying a stunt kite. Caroline was pretty good.

It was nice to see the ocean again.

Here we are on a cable car! I think that was one of the highlights of the trip. Especially when our driver wasn't grumpy

This is a view from within the Alcatraz dining hall. I can see why it was so hard for the prisoners to be there, while being so close to normal life.

On the warf we found an antique arcade. I think it is the same one featured in princess diaries. Chris beat the super-human arm-wrestler most of the time. :)

Wicked was awesome! Thanks Chris. We watched some videos online of other Wicked productions and they weren't even close to as good as the one we saw.

We ate these heavenly crepes our last day in San Francisco.

This is the view from our last day's camp site.

Updates: Zion National Park

Chris and I took a trip down to Zion National Park the weekend after finals. We had fun trying out our new tent and exploring the park. The pictures uploaded in backwards order, but I'm too lazy to change them all.

Our last day we tried to find unmarked trails. We went through the tunnel and dropped down into the little canyon below. We were trying to find some petroglyphs we heard about, but to no avail. We still liked hiking for once without seeing other people. We felt like the first people to step foot there...except for the other footprints we saw, and a tennisball. :)

Most of the time it was pretty warm, but the last day got colder and we had to wear long pants...

This was at the overlook point above the tunnel. The fence hinders the view a bit, but then we wouldn't have been so close to the edge without the fence.

We also saw mom and dad there, and they came on some hikes with us. Then they treated us to Springdale pizza. It was fun to see them!

This is Chris pointing to angel's landing (we think...) we had fun hiking it.
This is Chris on his way up angel's landing. Caroline and Jeff pointed out that married people start looking alike. Can you see how Chris and I are starting to look like each other? (see my picture below).

This is our little campsite with our tent and the little altima. It was fun being in charge of everything.

Updates: Moonlight

We went to see Lizzy perform at moonlight about a month ago...It was fabulous! She did a great job and we had fun dancing!

Spencer looks snazzy with his red tie!

Lizzy and her microphone partner. She looked good and sang amazing!

Sisters!!

While we were waiting to be let in we took pictures on this nice fake bridge they set up every year.
